Het Diamantmuseum Amsterdam is in 2007 opgericht door dhr. Ben Meier in een poging om de wereld te informeren over de fascinerende en mystieke wereld van de diamant.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Dhr. Meier was zelf een bekende diamantslijper. Hij stond bekend om het slijpen van vele onbetaalbare diamanten, waaronder de diamanten voor het horloge van Hare Majesteit de Koningin Juliana van Nederland.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Hij was er vast van overtuigd dat de kwaliteit van het diamantambacht behouden moest blijven. De beste manier om dit te doen is het opleiden van mensen over de hele wereld. Onze huidige directeur is een van de meest gerenommeerde experts op het gebied van diamant en is vastbesloten om de wereld te informeren over het diamantambacht en alles wat het omvat. Vandaag de dag hebben we meer dan 75.000 bezoekers per jaar die zich verbazen over onze prachtige collectie van diamant artefacten en kronen en leren over de magische wereld van de diamant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Wasn\u2019t sure what to expect here but it turned out to be a gem of a find (pardon the pun!). Was really interesting to see how they were formed, processed and to see examples of them used in different cultures and examples of royals and celebrities integrating them into their fashion.     Worth a visit whilst in Amsterdam as the diamond industry made up such a big part of Amsterdam's history. It's really easy to get to as well as it is right next to the museum quarter where the Rijksmuseum is \ud83d\ude42 - Sheffield, Verenigd Koninkrijk<\/p>

    I have never learnt so much about something that I didn't think I would be interested in but WOW, this place fantastic, the art behind making a diamond as beautiful as it is, is a try skill of craftsman ship. The exhibitions here are very informative and interesting. There is alot to learn but it is all explained very well. - Thurso, Verenigd Koninkrijk<\/p>
