The Diamond Museum Amsterdam was established in 2007 by Mr. Ben Meier in an effort to educate the world about the fascinating and mystical world of diamonds.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr. Meier was a well known diamond polisher himself. He was known for polishing many priceless diamonds including the diamonds for the watch of Her Majesty the Queen Juliana of the Netherlands.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He firmly believed in maintaining the quality of the diamond craft and he was convinced that the best way to keep this craft alive was to educate people about the wonderful world of diamonds. Our current director is one of the most renowed experts in the field of diamonds and is determined to inform the world about the diamond craft and everything it encompasses. Today we have more than 75.000 visitors a year who marvel at our beautiful collection of diamond artefacts and crowns and learn about the magical world of diamonds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Wasn\u2019t sure what to expect here but it turned out to be a gem of a find (pardon the pun!). Was really interesting to see how they were formed, processed and to see examples of them used in different cultures and examples of royals and celebrities integrating them into their fashion.     Worth a visit whilst in Amsterdam as the diamond industry made up such a big part of Amsterdam's history. It's really easy to get to as well as it is right next to the museum quarter where the Rijksmuseum is \ud83d\ude42 - Sheffield, Verenigd Koninkrijk<\/p>

    I have never learnt so much about something that I didn't think I would be interested in but WOW, this place fantastic, the art behind making a diamond as beautiful as it is, is a try skill of craftsman ship.
